Porec is a tourist stage; this is a place where you can learn from the historical monuments, read from the facades and stone paved streets from the Roman era. The most unique monument is Euphrasius' Basilica, an early Christian cathedral, but there are many other symbols of 2000 years of history of the city. The old heart of the city of Porec is also a great place to have fun. Ancient Decamanus, the main street of the old city, is a perfect promenade during the summer. Even if you haven't planned anything, something will draw your attention: jazz in the ancient stone collection garden or classical music concert in the Basilica, summer cocktails on the ancient Marafor Square, or simply watch the streams of people passing by. Wherever you go in the old city, everything has a distinctive charm because it pulsates both with ancient and modern times. Some ofthe streets and squares are the stage of the summer Street art.
Climate
Mild, Mediterranean climate (warm and dry summers, mild and pleasant winters)
Average amount of sunshine: 2.388 hours. Owing to the day's length and plenty of clear days throughout the summer it has the longest insolation with a daily average of 10 hours in Istrian seaside resorts. Characteristic winds are "bura" (wind blowing from the north to the south, bringing clear weather), "jugo" (south, warm wind bringing rain) and "maestral" (summer breeze blowing from the land to the sea).
How to get to Porec Croatia
Either one reaches Porec of Novigrad or Vrsar by means of the westistrian coastal road or by means of the istrian cross connection from Pazin coming. Who drives over the Ipsilon, the motorway should with the departures Višnjan or Baderna leave and the signals to follow. The center of Porec is on a small promontory directly because of the coast. Who travels with the car, a parking lot problem can get, since hardly another town in Istrian has as many visitors as Porec. There is east the old part of town a large city park place, which is however chargeable. There are free parking possibilities to the Ulica Gaspara Kalcica (approx. from the center removes 10 min).
Nightlife and entertaining in Porec
Porec is a must for young people; this is definitely the best town if you are looking out for fun with hip Croats and many other tourists. To see and be seen is certainly true for Porec. Head for places like Altercafé or Colonia, Comitium, Dvi Murve, Istra, Lapidarium, Peterokutna Kula, Pizzeria Dalí, Torre Rotunda or Ulixes. There is internet cafés like Cyberm@c in Grahalica 1 and the bus station is located just outside the core of the city, which is perfect for back packers.The largest Disco is the club international (opened from April to in the middle of Septembers), which is in the Zelena Laguna.

The lowest sea temperature is in March ranging from 9.3 C up to 11.1 C and being the highest in August when it reaches 23.3 C and 24.1 C; salinity amounts approximately to 36 - 38 pro mille.
