Croatia beach is the foundations of Croatia's tourist industry. The Adriatic coast need no introduction.

Croatia's cities, towns and villages are fascinating, from great historical cities like Dubrovnik or Split, to the bustle of modern Rijeka or Zagreb. Croatia's coastline has 6,000 km of which 4,000 km comprise a coastline of islands. Over such a long distance you can find many lovely beaches. Croatian coast is mostly pebbly, rocky and narrow but there are some wonderful sand beaches - Lapad beach in Dubrovnik, Dugi Otok - Saharun, Hvar island - Mlaska beach or Omis Riviera beaches.

In August the beaches can get fairly crowded no matter where you go.

Use your sun block all the time as sunshine is very strong on the beach. Wear a hat and sun glasses to protect yourself. The shoes for a beach are highly recommended.

Zlatni Rat beach ( Golden Horn), is located at the end of a tree-fringed promenade near the port of Bol, on the large and beautiful island of Brac - opposite Makarska . The beach is a popular tourist destination known as one of the most distinctive beaches in Europe. You can get here by air to Bol or Split airport or by car or bus. During summer months, ferries and boats are crossing between Split and Supetar every hour.

Hvar is situated on the south-western coast of the homonymous island.The most popular beaches are situated on the Pakleni islands.Twentyone islet make archipelago of Pakleni otoci, with numerous bathing places and a myriad of small, secluded beaches ideal for sunbathing. On the island of Hvar we recomend sandy beach Mlaska located 3.5 km south of Sucuraj.

Hvar Island is very small but wonderful place for vacation.
